Unorthodox folk enthusiasts caroline's 12" for our recent-ish List Pick 'Skydiving onto the library roof' came out today via Rough Trade Records. To acknowledge this milestone the experimentally-inclined octet have shared a self-directed accompanying video for its b-side 'Everything for everyone', set on Rotherhithe beach in London. Honing in on some beautifully discordant guitar strums, clattering drum elements punctate the expressive piece, which feels more a sonic painting than an a overtly conceptualised song. Furthermore, the percussive qualities of the layered guitars provides an inexplicably magical sense of freedom and intimacy, when listened to on a decent set of headphones.
